In this episode special guest Ruby Jackson explains how athletes can find their own lane. Ruby is a former track and field athlete who trained for a spot in the 2012 Olympics. She also has a passion for science. Her life experiences lead her to develop a STEM & Sports educational program aimed to prepare female student-athletes for careers in STEM.
It is so important that athletes learn to diversify and pursue other passions. Athletes are whole and complete people. You have to begin to focus on more than just the physical. You must understand that life is a lot like sports. If you fail you have to keep going. You have to be willing to put it all on the line and be willing to march to the beat of your own drum.
